Delivery of items during class

Dear Parents: We need your help! Every day money, messages, food or other items are requested to be delivered to classrooms to quite a few of our students. Unfortunately, delivery of these items interrupts classroom instruction, interfering with the flow of lessons and student learning.

We are going to ask that you do your best to set up a system at home so items are placed where they will be remembered each morning. We have limited office personnel to deliver items to classrooms. If you do need something delivered, we are going to wait until grade level lunch periods to deliver it as follows:

6th grade: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm
7th grade: 12:35 pm – 1:05 pm
8th grade: 1:35 pm – 2:05 pm

recycleBring your paper recycling to the yellow and green bin in the North Parking Lot by the Hernandez Middle School football field and support the Functional Academic Classroom.

Items recycled include: newspapers, magazines, mail, school and office paper and catalogs.

It’s Boxtops time again! Be sure to save Boxtops all year and bring them to school. Boxtops will be collected through the Science department this year, so drop any Boxtops you have off with your Science teacher. The teacher that collects the most will win a treat for their classes. All proceeds from Boxtops benefit the library.
